Flat leaf screws
In the field of fastening technology, flat leaf screws are used in numerous industrial applications. For example, a flat leaf screw with a hole in the flat head can be used to connect two structural parts, e.g., for wall mounting of steel mats or fastening two elements to wooden structures. In these examples, the flat leaf screw’s wood thread is screwed directly into one of the two workpieces at the desired location. The second element is attached to the blade on the flat leaf screw with a screw. There are also flat leaf screws with metric threads – these variants are used, for example, for turnbuckles in steel construction or in conjunction with a perforated strip for lightweight cable suspensions.
In terms of fastening solutions, a distinction is made between flat leaf screws and variants with ring-shaped or eye-shaped heads. The latter are known as ring screws or eyebolts and are used, among other things, to secure heavy components or even control cabinets.
